SpareBox Technologies has released the results of its 2024 self-storage technology survey, revealing that more than 90% of respondents believe that new self-storage technologies will make their jobs easier and their businesses more competitive. The survey, which gathered insight from 150 industry owners and managers, also found that 66% of respondents are already using some form of remote management technology. However, 40% cited installation costs as their primary hesitation in adopting new technology. The survey also revealed that increasing revenue was the top priority for respondents in 2024, followed by improving occupancy rates, reducing operating costs, and investing in new technology.
